An 18-carat yellow gold medal, finely engraved on the obverse with a Virgin in Majesty surrounded by four angels bearing the inscription "N.D. DE FOURVIERE PRIEZ. P.N" (Our Lady of Fourviere Pray for us). The reverse features the crowned statue of Mary with outstretched hands, which stands atop the basilica's bell tower. She is depicted on a guilloché background, surrounded by the inscription "ILS MONT ETABLIE GARDIENNE DL VILLE" (They have appointed me guardian of the city).
