An 18-carat yellow gold (750 ‰) signet ring, signed by Alphonse Augis, a Lyon-based jeweler renowned for his famous “Médaille d’Amour.”
The round mounting is adorned with a Guilloché and chased locket, engraved with the iconic inscription “+ qu’hier – que demain” (“more than yesterday—than tomorrow”), inspired by Rosemonde Gérard’s poem *Les Vieux*, dedicated to Edmond Rostand. In this design, a diamond is set in the center of the “+,” flanked by two synthetic baguette-cut rubies in the “–.” The openwork setting and the arabesques at the base of the band add a delicate touch to this piece, steeped in history and sensitivity.
