A precious stone of striking beauty, emerald is one of the most sought-after gemstones for its rarity and beautiful green color. The most prestigious have historically come from Colombia, and have adorned our jewelry since the 16th century, even though the Indians knew about these deposits long before the arrival of the conquistadors.
