Art Deco Sapphire and Diamond Target Ring
Round platinum target ring (hallmark: dog's head), decorated in its center with an old-cut diamond, weighing approximately 0.20 Ct (estimated color I, estimated clarity VS), in a surround of calibrated natural sapphires and diamonds cut in 8x8, the total weight of which is estimated at approximately 0.25 Ct. French work, Art Deco, Circa 1920. Unidentified master's mark. Gross weight: 3.49g Pattern height: 1.30 cm Finger size: 50 2/3 (diameter 16.10 / US 5.50). Condition: slight micro scratches on the platinum parts, slight abrasion of the stones, see photos. L' Art Deco was largely influenced by Cubism represented in France by Georges Braque. One of the founding works of this pictorial movement is Marcel Duchamp's "Nude Descending the Stairs".
