Toi et Moi engagement ring in 18Kt yellow gold and platinum (hallmark: eagle's head) set in its center with two old-cut diamonds weighing in total approximately 0.60 Ct (estimated color H, estimated clarity SI), in a setting of rose-cut diamonds. French work, Circa 1900, Belle Epoque. Gross weight: 3.71g Ring size: 57 (diameter 18.10 / US 8.00). Height: 1.30 cm Condition: very slight micro-scratches on the gold and platinum parts, abrasions and natural inclusions on/in the diamonds, see photos. Although its existence has been known since the engagement between Mary of Burgundy and Maximilian of Austria in the 15th century, the De Beers company also contributed to popularizing the diamond as an ornament of the engagement ring by advising in particular on the price of the latter; equivalent to two months' salary.
