Art Deco Aquamarine and Diamond Dome Ring
Art Deco dome ring in platinum (hallmark: dog) set in its center with two round aquamarines weighing a total of approximately 2.00 Cts, and old-fashioned cut diamonds, the total weight of which is estimated at approximately 1.15 Cts (Estimated color H, and estimated clarity VS to SI). French work, Art Deco, Circa 1920. Signed Milliaud Fils, jeweler in Le Havre since 1883. Gross weight: 7.55 g Pattern height: 1.60 cm Ring size: 53 1/2 (diameter 17.00/ US 6.50). Condition: very light micro scratches on the platinum parts, light abrasion on the stones, see photos. Aquamarine has a strong connection to the sea, starting with its name. This comes from the Latin "aqua marina" which literally means "sea water" and evokes the hue of the stone. - think Caribbean rather than North Sea. All our antique rings.
