"Entourage" Ring in White Gold and Diamonds
An "Entourage" ring in 18-carat white gold, set with a 0.90-carat Old European cut diamond at the center, surrounded by eight 8/8-cut diamonds. The rim of the ring shank is delicately accented with finely beaded millegrain work. The shoulders are also set with diamonds on either side of the central motif. The central diamond features what is known as a “kozibe effect”: a multi-reflection similar to that of a kaleidoscope. When viewed from the front, the diamond reveals a crown of small circles or reflective facets that seem to dance within the stone when it is moved. Antique Art Deco ring, circa 1930–1940, France.
