Rare 18kt rose gold and silver (hallmark: owl) navette ring set with blue guilloché enamel decorated with theater-themed motifs (tambourine, lute with sheet music, mask) set with rose-cut diamonds in a surround of old-cut diamonds.Total weight of diamonds estimated at approx. 2.20 Cts. In the 18th and early 19th centuries, rings set with diamonds on dark blue enamel were fashionable in Europe. The most frequently encountered models were the so-called "firmament" rings "firmament" rings (where the diamonds are spread across the enamel like a celestial vault), and the "Memento Mori" mourning rings featuring urns paved with diamonds.
