Art Deco Tank Ring Diamonds on White Gold and Platinum
Ring in 18Kt white gold and platinum (Hallmarks: eagle and dog) set in its center with two old-fashioned cut diamonds, the total weight of which is estimated at approximately 1.20 Cts (estimated color I, estimated clarity VS), in a surround of 8x8 cut diamonds, the total weight of which is estimated at approximately 0.60 Ct. French work, Art Deco, circa 1935. Gross weight: 7.05g Height of central motif: 1.30 cm Finger size: 63 (diameter 20.00/ US 10.25) Condition: slight micro scratches on the gold and platinum parts, see photos. The Art Deco movement, short for “Decorative Arts”, was born around 1910. It reached its peak in the 1920s and then declined in the 1930s. In reaction to the rounded and organic shapes of Art Nouveau, this “Roaring Twenties” style developed geometric and refined forms. All our antique rings.
