The design of the Watch Reflet is one of the few designs that can be recognized at first glance: a rectangular case whose elongated appearance is accentuated by the vertical gadroons.

The other major feature, and what made it a revolution, is the invisible bracelet Closure system. Boucheron challenged the very principle of the Clasp, retracting the bracelet into the case. This ingenious system also makes it possible to change bracelets at will! With this model, not one but 15 Bracelets are supplied (13 of which are Signed by Boucheron): one articulated steel bracelet, 8 custom-made leather bracelets (approx. 15 cm), 4 adjustable leather bracelets and 2 leather bracelets to adjust to your size. This piece perfectly matches the Boucheron Reflet identity, with its interchangeable bracelets to match your outfit: everything is in your hands, or rather on your wrist.

A special feature of this model is the horizontal diamond setting along the case, which once again emphasizes the Reflet's verticality. This setting is discreetly echoed by 4 diamonds at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock on the dial.

How to wear it

The advantage of a Reflet is that changing bracelets makes the possibilities literally infinite. Keep the steel bracelet, and you've got a modern, everyday watch. Change to a colored, textured, smooth, matte or shiny leather strap, and you've got a watch to match your style! A sober leather strap will be a simple and elegant way to highlight the diamonds on the case around a dressier outfit.

History

Boucheron is one of those brands that Françoise finds unjustly forgotten. The first jewelry house to set up shop on the Place Vendôme, Boucheron was a pioneer in a wide range of watchmaking and jewelry subjects. Frédéric Boucheron, the brand's founder, was one of the first to promote the wristwatch, as early as the middle of the 19th century.

The Reflet, born in 1947, was the first "mass-market" watchmaking success of the Maison Boucheron, then still run by the founder's heirs. Its system for changing bracelets in an instant was a revolution for women, who could at last turn their watches into fashion accessories that could be adapted to every outfit. Edith Piaf is perhaps the best-known ambassador of Boucheron watches, who considered her Reflets (she would have bought over twenty of them!) her lucky charm.
