The first jewelry house to set up shop on the Place Vendôme, Boucheron was a pioneer in a number of watchmaking and jewelry fields. Frédéric Boucheron, the brand's founder, was one of the first to promote the wristwatch, as early as the mid-19th century.  The Reflet, born in 1947, was the first "mass-market" watchmaking success of the Maison Boucheron, then still run by the founder's heirs.
