Savoyard hoop earrings in gold
Pair of pendant earrings, called Savoyard or Tarentaise creoles, in 18kt yellow gold and white gold (hallmark: eagle's head) finely chiseled with flower decoration, adorned with a faceted pendant. Regional French work (Savoie) from the first part of the 20th Century. Gross weight: 8.91 g Height: 4.60 cm Width: 3.90 cm Condition: very slight micro-scratches and deformation on the gold parts, small trace of welding, see photos. As their name suggests, Savoyard Creoles originate from Savoy. First in the shape of a half-moon, then octagons, over time they are adorned with multiple chiseled patterns, floral decorations and gold beads.
