Yellow Gold and Enamel Drop Earrings
Louis-Philippe drop earrings in yellow gold, featuring an upper section decorated with a bird of paradise on a branch rendered in polychrome enamel on a turquoise background, framed by a black border with scrollwork. The lower section is a large openwork pendant adorned with scrolls and acanthus leaves. In the center, a movable tassel enameled in black and turquoise is decorated with a red and gold figure. The loops are lightweight and made of hollow gold. Dating from the Louis-Philippe period, circa 1830–1840, they reflect the refinement characteristic of this period in France.
