With its rounded all-gold case, white dial, black hour-markers and blue hands, the Cartier Baignoire has all the hallmarks. This model, reference 1955, is mounted on a Cartier satin-finish leather strap, the color of which blends particularly well with the 18 Carats white gold of the case. This accentuates its elegance and originality, as the white gold version is rarer.

Although Louis Cartier had already introduced an elongated watch design in the early 1900s, the emblematic model we know today was born in 1958 in Cartier's Paris workshops. A watch with feminine, sensual lines and an innovative, creative Style. A few years later, the Baignoire allongée appeared in the London studios.
While the Gold godron case has retained its rounded design, there have been a number of variations over the years, as has the dial, sometimes with Roman numerals, sometimes with Arabic numerals. An intrinsically elegant Watch that stands the test of time without losing its aura.
