A platinum necklace (>850°/°°) consisting of a chain holding a motif featuring a knotted ribbon, topped by a flower and holding a leafy motif forming an oval garland, the entire piece set with old European cut diamonds arranged in a gentle cascade. The garland features a pendant of a pear-shaped Cabochon emerald—likely from Colombia—topped with a small diamond.

An iconic motif of the Belle Époque, this pendant combines the Louis XVI ribbon with a garland of diamonds—the signature of the eponymous style that was in vogue in Paris around 1910. The lightweight, openwork mounting highlights the diamonds as well as the large emerald cabochon, which adds volume and verticality to the piece.

The pear-shaped cabochon emerald, measuring 17 x 10 x 10 mm, features a deep green color and beautiful saturation. The “garden” is visible to the naked eye, and the emerald has significant frost on the back of the cabochon, which is therefore invisible when the piece is worn. The emerald’s weight is estimated at 8 to 10 carats. The old European cut diamonds weigh approximately 5 to 6 carats (H to J, VVS to Piqué), with no inclusions visible to the naked eye. The largest stone alone weighs approximately 0.6 carats (I SI1).

The mascaron hallmark is present on pre-owned platinum pieces.
