Je t'aime vintage medal yellow gold enamel
Medal in 18k (750°/°°) gold and enamel featuring an enameled daisy. The inscription "je t'aime" (I love you) appears on the lower part of the medal. This motif refers to an 18th-century game called "effeuiller la marguerite", which is supposed to reflect the feelings of a loved one. The player associates each part of the ritornello: "she (he) loves me, a little, a lot, passionately, madly, more than anything, not at all" with one of the petals of a daisy, and removes that petal. The part of the sentence associated with the last petal is intended to reflect the feelings of the person to whom it is addressed. Vintage French work.
