It may look quite familiar to you. Indeed, the shape of its case is reminiscent of the famous Tank Louis Cartier: a square case, protruding side lugs, Roman numerals, and a railway-style minute track. On this Chopard, however, the dial—like a golden disc—does not follow the shape of the case, creating an interplay of clean, straight lines and rounded curves. A watch that has lost none of its charm over the years. This dial is signed “Chopard Genève” and features slender hands, accentuating the watch’s refinement.
This watch is equipped with a mechanical movement requiring daily manual winding.
A historical detail makes this piece even more unique. From the 1960s to the 1990s, it was common to find the initials “L.U.C.” engraved on the crown—and sometimes on the dial and/or the movement—of Chopard watches. This is a tribute to Louis-Ulysse Chopard, the founder of Chopard. This inscription thus highlights the House’s heritage.
