JAEGER-LECOULTRE MEMOVOX REF. 3151 watch in 18K rose gold with alarm complication—CAL. P489/1—circa 1952

A rare Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox Ref. 3151 in 18-carat rose gold, circa 1952, belonging to the very first generation of one of the Manufacture’s most iconic complications.

Launched in the early 1950s, the Memovox (literally “the voice of memory”) stands out for its ingenious mechanical alarm function. The movable central disc, recognizable by its triangular marker, allows the user to set the time at which the audible signal sounds.

This example features an elegant 34-mm case in 18K rose gold, characterized by its beautiful and rare teardrop-shaped lugs (engraved case number 601743). Its two-tone silver dial combines Arabic numerals and applied hour markers, Dauphine hands, and a central seconds hand.

The two signed crowns control the time-keeping functions and the alarm, respectively.

The watch is powered by the Jaeger-LeCoultre P489/1 hand-wound caliber, the historic movement found in the first Memovox models, featuring 17 Rubies and oscillating at 18,000 vibrations per hour.

Fully serviced by the Atelier des Tocantes in Paris on October 1, 2026, it comes with a 12-month warranty from . It is in excellent condition for its age, with only very slight superficial signs of wear.

The watch comes with its original Jaeger-LeCoultre box.
