OMEGA SPEEDMASTER PROFESSIONAL MARK II Ref. 145.014 - Caliber 861 (Lemania 1873) - Circa 1970.

Recently overhauled at ABP Concept, Paris (full service) - Excellent condition - Watch delivered with original box.

The direct heir to the "Moonwatch", born for the modern era.

Introduced in 1969, the same year as the Apollo 11 moon landing, the Speedmaster Professional Mark II symbolizes Omega's determination to usher in a new era for its legendary chronograph.

If the "Moonwatch" is about the conquest of space, the Mark II is about design and modernity, more streamlined, more robust, more contemporary.

Its one-piece tonneau case in satin-finish steel, typical of the 1970s, is a feat of ergonomics and style: a balance between sportiness and technical elegance. The tachymeter scale, now integrated under the glass, provides enhanced legibility and protection - a landmark innovation of this generation.

Specialist's commentary

A true icon of 1970s watchmaking design, the Speedmaster Professional Mark II embodies an exciting transition in Omega's history: from space conquest to modern aesthetics. It shares the same legendary engine as the post-1968 Moonwatch - the caliber 861 derived from the Lemania 1873 - while asserting a bolder, more contemporary personality.

This timepiece features a perfectly homogeneous tritium patina, an exceptionally well-preserved original dial and a slightly satin-finished case (with a few minor dents) in keeping with the period finish.

Overhauled by a reference workshop, delivered with its original case and vintage Omega crystal, this watch combines authenticity, reliability and vintage charm.
