Roman coin necklace pendant Maximian Hercules
Pendant composed of an ancient Roman billon coin (alloy of copper, zinc and silver) in an 18kt rose gold setting and accompanied by a coordinated chain (hallmark: owl). The coin, a "follis" or "nummus", presents on one side the profile portrait of Maximian Hercules, Roman emperor of the 3rd-4th centuries (285-310) crowned with the maxim "Imperator Maximianus Pius Augustus" (The Emperor Maximian Pious Augustus). On the other side, a Genius holding a peg in his right hand and a cornucopia in his left hand, surrounded by the words "Genio Populi Romani" (To the Genius of the Roman People). Artisanal work, handmade in Paris by our workshop, contemporary.
