Médaille de Saint Tropez en or jaune 18K à l'effigie du célèbre Saint sur l'avers, et du blason de la ville sur le revers. On retrouve la devise de la ville : "Ad Usque Fidelis" Cette médaille raconte l'histoire de Torpes, intendant de Néron, qui devint l'un des premiers martyrs chrétiens en refusant d'abjurer sa foi chrétienne. Son corps fut déposé dans une barque sur l'Arno avec un coq et un chien. La barque s'échoua bientôt sur les rives d'un village de pêcheurs qui élevèrent une chapelle à l'effigie du martyr. Torpes deviendra progressivement Saint-Tropez. Saint-Tropez est le saint protecteur des marins. La ville célèbre son saint patron à l'occasion des traditionnelles bravades chaque année au mois de mai. Cette médaille était initialement portée seulement par les tropéziens de naissance. Si vous êtes tropézien de coeur (ou tropézien tout court !), n'hésitez plus !
