Rare triangular-shaped pendant medal in yellow gold solid 18-carat 750 thousandths, eagle's head guarantee hallmark and master goldsmith's diamond hallmark. French Art Nouveau work from the 1910s, signed by the famous jeweler 'BECKER'. It is finely chased with a beautiful relief of the haloed profile of Jesus Christ in alternating brushed and bright gold. A rosehip flower on each side of the surround on the obverse and reverse. Engraved with an LG monogram and the inscription "June 20, 1915" on the reverse. Edmond Becker, born in Paris (1871-1971), entered the "Sculpture" section of the Salon des Artistes Français at the age of twenty, but it was the 1900 exhibition that brought him recognition at the Boucheron stand (Gold Medal). For many years, he devoted himself exclusively to medals, of which he became the leading specialist in Paris.
