Vintage Augis Love Ring in Gold

Vintage Augis Love Ring in 18 karat (750 thousandths) yellow gold. Ring centered with an Augis medal with smooth edges, set on a mount enhancing the medal, with a striated and radiant surround. This ring bears the inscription "more than yesterday less than tomorrow", the "+" is decorated with a small diamond and the "-" is decorated with two calibrated synthetic rubies. This inscription refers to the quote taken from a letter from Rosmonde Gérard, the poet, to her love Edmond Rostand, the author of Cyrano de Bergerac: "Because, you see, every day I love you more, Today more than yesterday and much less than tomorrow." Inspired by these two lovers, Alphonse Augis takes up these verses in his "love medals" by condensing them into "+ than yesterday - than tomorrow".
