The center of the medallion is set with an diamond weighing approximately 0.8 carat (6.5 x 8.3 x 1.8mm). The setting is enhanced by diamonds rose-cut diamonds. This medallion has a compartment on the back to hold, for example, a photograph of the loved one. French or English work from the late 19th century. Note a chip on the diamond and the onyx on the bail is missing.
