Art Deco diamond enamel medallion in 18 karat (750 thousandths) gold and platinum. This rare photo medallion is fully enameled in matte black on both sides and on the clasp. It is decorated with an applied platinum circular motif set with 42 rose-cut diamonds. The medallion opens to conceal a photograph, which is placed under a thin glass plate and a gold circle (present inside the medallion). On both inner faces, the gold is polished in successive circles, forming a pattern. The jewel's clasp is decorated with black enamel and set with four rose-cut diamonds. Antique Art Deco pendant, circa 1920, France. Eagle head hallmark and goldsmith's hallmark for Charles Lavogade (active in Paris between 1912 and 1926).
