LONG CHAIN ​​AND FOCKET WATCH The chain alternates chiselled silver links holding between them small, probably fine, pearls and openwork oval links of 18k yellow gold. It holds by a gold carabiner, two circles festooned with silver and studded with small rose-cut diamonds and rubies, which reveal a pocket watch. Its dial is gilded, decorated with flowered carving and centered with a “Geneva” inscription. It is pierced with cartridges through which we read an index in Roman numerals on a white background. On the reverse, it is decorated with a miniature depicting two young women discussing and reading in a rural landscape. 19th century period. Probably Italian work. Length of chain (to carabiner): approximately 74 cm. Height of the watch pendant: approximately 3.8 cm. Total gross weight: 70.3 g (18k - 750 and Ag - 925 - French second-hand hallmarks: owl and swan). State : Set in perfect condition. The flat yellow gold links are “pitted” but this is probably an effect desired by the goldsmith. The pearls have an elongated shape that harmonizes with the silver oval links. They are white in color. No stone is missing from the pendant. No accident on the watch, nor apparently on the miniature which is protected by glass. The watch mechanism is not seized. It is a mechanical system with manual winding. It starts up again when you wind it up. However, we cannot guarantee its proper functioning. The watch is sold as is.
