Ring 18th Italy ruby in 14 karat gold (585 thousandths). Ring A late 18th-century "marguerite" ring set with nine table-cut rubies. Each shoulder of the ring is also set with three rubies. The ring  is richly decorated with rinceaux and stylized leaves. Like most rings from this period, the ring head is secured with a rivet. Ring antique, Mediterranean basin, probably Italy, circa 1780. However, this style can be found throughout southern Europe: Italy, Spain and Portugal, thanks to the presence of the Habsburgs in regions such as Sicily, Sardinia, Naples and Milan during the 16th and 17th centuries.
