Rare Poissardes earrings in 18kt yellow gold (eagle head hallmark), adorned with rhinestones mounted on paillon. Breakaway system, earrings pass through the back. French work, early 19th century. Gross weight: 3.17 g Total height: 3.50 cm width: 1.40 cm Condition: micro-scratches, chips and dents on the gold parts, slight abrasion of the rhinestones, and oxidation of the pearls, see photos.   In the 19th century, several new forms of earrings appeared, including the "Poissardes". Very much in vogue between the two Empires, these regional earrings feature technical elements typical of jewelry-making at the time: stamping and stones on straw. Returns:

Authentication & Certification
